· 1500 feet of deepwater (concrete reinforced dock space) with about 33 feet of water.
· 9 acres of open cement apron area for project staging, equipment testing, dockside fabrication, and vessel loading and discharge operations.
· 36,000 square foot of covered warehouse available for the subsea and drilling project(s) with an additional 36,000 square feet of additional covered warehousing available immediately upon request.
· A total of 18.5 acres of additional warehousing and storage areas for future use and overflow projects.
· 4 acres of roadways, approaches, rail trackage, equipment and materials storage, including a 45-truck queuing area.
· Covered railcar loading and unloading.
· Full onsite equipment handling and crane services include multiple fork trucks, forklifts, pickers, 150 ton hydraulic crane and all other crane needs available for lease up to 850 tons.
· Dockside services including water fire main and even full shore power scheduled for upgrade to 1000 amps by 3Q 2009.
· Active, on-dock rail service provided by CSX Transportation, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad, and Rail America (Alabama & Gulf Coast Railway).
· The entrance to the main channel to Pensacola Bay is by the Caucus Channel. The channel is 500 feet wide at its seaward end and dredged to 33 feet in depth. The approach channel to the Offshore Inland Dock Area at the Port of Pensacola is 400 feet wide with a control depth of 33 feet, and intersects Pensacola Bay in a generally northeasterly direction.
· The Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GIWW) intersects the Port's entrance channel just north of Santa Rosa Island. The GIWW traverses the Gulf of Mexico from Brownsville, Texas to Ft. Meyers, Florida before connecting to the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway via the Okeechobee Waterway.
· Two pilot services - Pensacola Bar and Harbor Pilots and Pensacola Bay Pilots - provide 24-hour service for all vessels entering of leaving the Port.
· Less than 1 mile from a major Interstate (I-110) and only 6 miles (less than one hour) from the sea buoy.
· Some estimates make this dock area faster sea travel time from the center Gulf then Mobile, AL due to the extremely short pilotage. Approximately 4.5 hour sea travel from Theodore Industrial Canal (Aker Solutions Umbilical Base and Technips Spool Base) to Pensacola OI Dock by ship or barge.
· Less than 1 hour travel time to Mobile, AL by auto or truck.
· Rates for labor, equipment handling, and labor are extremely competitive with other port areas.
· Discounted Wharfage:
All ocean-going vessels. Ocean-going barges, and drill rigs.
